So I got acrylic nails for the first time EVER a couple weeks ago, and had them removed yesterday.
Oh, mother of God and all that is holy. I kid you not when I say the process I went through was probably reminiscent of a 17th century ritual people performed during the Spanish Inquisition. I cannot even begin to describe the pain. Let's just say I sat there and watched as they literally pulled the nails off of my real ones. So much for modernism, technology and living in the 21st century! I guess I overestimated the rate of technology advancement in the nailcare industry.
Nevertheless, strangely enough, when the time came for me to make a decision, I found myself nodding in agreement when she asked if I wanted to get my acrylic nails redone.
Bloody hell, what was I thinking?
